One Year of Indivisible ADK/Saratoga: A Movement Worth Fighting For
As December 15th approaches, Indivisible ADK/Saratoga proudly marks the one-year anniversary of our very first gathering. This milestone represents not just the passage of time, but the relentless commitment of our members who have shown up — week after week, month after month — to defend democracy at a moment when it needs us most.
A Year of Gratitude and Grassroots Strength
To our members, volunteers, organizers, and supporters: your dedication has been the backbone of this movement.
Steadfast participation through every challenge and political shift
Consistent engagement in civic action, voter support, and community organizing
Unified purpose in the fight to build a stronger, more inclusive democracy
How It Started: The Call to Organize After 2024
In the aftermath of the 2024 election, Indivisible and allied progressive organizations issued a nationwide call for “Worth Fighting For” community gatherings. Thousands of Americans united to share strength, strategize, and prepare to confront the realities of the Trump 2.0 era.
Indivisible ADK/Saratoga was proud to answer that call. Along with groups nationwide, we came together to:
Rebuild connections within our communities
Map out next steps for local and national action
Commit to long-term organizing to protect democratic institutions
Growth, Impact, and the Power of Collective Action
In just one year, IAS has evolved into a dynamic, energized, and deeply committed grassroots organization. Our growth speaks to the power of community activism:
20+ issue-based working teams driving focused, strategic efforts
Nearly 2,000 supporters on our email list
Consistent volunteer engagement fueling every initiative
What We’ve Built — And What Comes Next
Together, we have laid the foundation for a movement ready for the challenges ahead. And while we celebrate our first year, we remain fully committed to the work still before us.
Expanding our organizing capacity
Strengthening democratic participation across the region
Preparing for the critical political battles of 2025 and beyond
Thank you for being part of this movement. Thank you for believing that our democracy is worth fighting for.

IAS Newsletter - November 17th, 2025
We’ve shown up, spoken out, written letters and postcards, made calls, marched, and organized.
We have stained our hands with marker ink. We have stood in the rain and begged for the freedom of our neighbors. We have sat on countless phone calls and used our cars like mobile protest centers. We have made a real difference in many lives. We have gladly carried pool noodles and welcomed people to join our movement. We have survived on hand-warmers, cold coffee, and the Music Team’s infectious music. We have cooled ourselves on hot summer days with water from our Medics Team.
Every action this year — large and small — has made a difference. Now it’s time to take a breath, raise a glass, and celebrate the power of us.
Please join us on Sunday, November 23rd from 1PM – 3:30PM, at The Bierhall at Common Roots Brewing Company in South Glens Falls, NY (58 Saratoga Ave), for our Year-End Celebration — United We Celebrate - an afternoon of gratitude, good company, and renewed energy for the work ahead. Expect food, fun, and a few surprises as we reflect on what we’ve accomplished and look forward to in 2026.
